Covered Composition Book

This is a post from a few years ago.  I thought it would be fun to share one of my first experiences with Stampin' Up!

Yesterday, at a Stampin' Up club, we made the cutest covered composition notebooks.  Made using Mod-Podge collage techniques and a variety of papers, stamps and cut outs, these notebooks are perfect for the back-to-school season!  Ideally, these could be decorated in any fashion your heart desires- 'Imagine the Possibilities'!

Emerald City Stamp

In honor of recently attending Wicked, the musical, I would like to share with you a hand-carved stamp I created inspired by the artwork in Wicked, the book by Gregory McGuire.
I purchased stamp rubber from Michaels, although the type I bought was very delicate and broke too easily.  Were I to do this again, I would purchase a sturdier rubber to carve!  It was very easy- and the result is a stunning, unique image!  If you want to try personalizing your own stamps- just don't forget to carve the image backwards, because it will be stamped a mirror image.
